Inner Mongolia Mandula PV Installation Project

Mandula Town of Damao Banner is located on the China-Mongolia border, featuring a plateau desert landscape with an average altitude of 1,129 meters. Characterized by arid climate with scarce rainfall, it boasts an annual sunshine duration of 3,234 hours and high solar radiation intensity—endowing it with unique advantages for photovoltaic power project construction. However, the region also suffers from long and bitterly cold winters, with working temperatures dropping to as low as -26℃, coupled with gusts of at least force 5. These harsh natural conditions pose severe challenges to construction operations. Faced with such hurdles, KAICON has achieved steady progress in project development through outstanding product performance and robust technical support.

Amid the harsh environment of raging wind and snow, KAICON's 5th-generation PV installation robot "PV Giant" operates calmly and stably, demonstrating exceptional adaptability, high efficiency, and reliability. Equipped with a robust off-road chassis, the "PV Giant" can easily navigate the uneven terrain in deserts. Its 4-way real-time leveling operation platform ensures safe and stable operations in all directions. Boasting a world-leading self-developed 3D vision system and robotic arm, it can automatically scan supports, accurately calculate the installation position and inclination angle of each PV panel, and guide the robotic arm to complete the grabbing and placing of PV panels automatically—with an installation error of less than 2 cm.

The PV modules used in this project have a specification of 615 W, a size of 2382 mm × 1134 mm, and a single-panel weight of nearly 30 km. Manual installation of such modules would not only be highly difficult but also pose significant safety risks. Based on actual operation data, the installation efficiency of the robot is 5 times that of pure manual work. It has truly achieved high-efficiency, high-precision independent installation of PV modules and unmanned panel handover, successfully solving the operational challenges of low efficiency and high damage rates in harsh environments, and setting a new benchmark for the industry.

As an innovative enterprise in the field of outdoor large-scale robotics, KAICON has always been committed to providing intelligent and efficient solutions for the installation and operation & maintenance of photovoltaic power plants. It has established an excellent user reputation through numerous successful project cases. Looking ahead, KAICON will continue to focus on the core demand of cost reduction and efficiency improvement, continuously optimize products and enhance services, and contribute to the vigorous development of global clean energy!
